it started with messages i never expected, people asking to wear my art permanently, on their bodies. custom tattoo commissions followed, then collaborations with wonderful tattoo artists, and eventually this: the tattoo pass.

a tattoo pass grants you permission to tattoo one of my existing published designs. it's my way of saying yes. of letting the feminine botanical figures, desert botanicals, and florals i draw become part of your story and your skin, with the blessing of the artist who made them.

how it works:

  • choose your design — anything published on my website or instagram (@marcyellis) is available. one pass covers one artwork.
  • purchase your pass. you'll receive a PDF download granting tattoo permission.
  • email himarcy@marcyellis.com with your chosen design, and i'll send you a high-resolution image.
  • bring the pass and the image to the tattoo artist of your choice.

the fine print:

  • this is permission to use a pre-existing design. it does not include custom or commissioned artwork, and no physical art is shipped.
  • each artwork requires its own pass.
  • some artworks don't translate well to skin, so please consult your tattoo artist about your chosen design before purchasing.
  • the pass is non-refundable, and i can't be responsible if your artist is unable to tattoo the selected artwork.

can i use any of your designs?

yes! any pre-existing design published on my website or instagram (@marcyellis) is fair game. after purchase, email me and i'll send you a high-resolution image.

can my tattoo artist modify the design?

your artist can adapt sizing and placement to fit your body. please note some artworks translate better to skin than others, so chat with your artist before purchasing.

is the pass one-time use?

yes, each pass covers one design for one tattoo. want a second design? that's a second pass.

do i get a physical product?

no — you'll receive a pdf pass to show your tattoo artist at your appointment, plus the high-res design image by email.

can i share my tattoo?

please do! tag @marcyellis so i can celebrate it with you.
